US Vote Watch is a project to report voter engagement and registration efforts targeting American voters.

Americans should know more about voter engagement and registration organizations that have essentially become middle men between them and the federal government.

While observing these organizations US Vote Watch asks these questions:

  • Who manages the organization?
  • What is the organization’s target audience?
  • Does the organization have bias towards other organizations it partners and communicates with?
  • Where does the organization’s funding comes from?
  • Is the organization collecting information, such as email address or data, from voters while they register to vote on its website?
  • etc.

Voter engagement/registration organizations we observe:

  • Rock the Vote
  • League of Women Voters
  • Nonprofit Vote
  • Vote.org
  • Campus Vote Project
  • Students Learn Students Vote
  • I am a voter
  • Vote From Abroad
